Duty Of Prime Minister

In the United Kingdom, there are two types of political offices: those of Prime Minister and that of President. The former is called as the "Office of Prime Minister", the latter as the "Office of President". The Prime Minister serves as the president or the de facto leader of the govt, while the president is a de jure or nominal leader of the country.

In general, there are four types of prime ministers: those who serve under a single government, those who are serving four consecutive terms, those who were appointed by the king or by the Queen (the constitutional monarch of England and Wales) and the ones who are appointed by the queen herself. Each of these prime ministers have the duty to hold their respective office of prime minister.

However, the prime ministers themselves do not hold the office of prime minister. That is done by the cabinet. Each cabinet holds the duty of the prime minister. The prime ministers themselves hold the responsibility to hold the office of prime minister. But they can be recalled by the Cabinet if they prove unfit. When the prime minister becomes incapacitated, a new cabinet is named.

The duty of a prime minister is to take care of the policies of his or her government and to ensure the execution of those policies. They can do this by advising, participating actively and working with other parties and experts to come up with feasible plans for the development of their country's affairs.

The prime ministers can also lead the way in bringing about major changes in the administration of their country. These include bringing about reforms in law and order, or making major changes in the constitution, and the like. But these are not mandatory duties.

They are not part of the duty of the prime minister. However, in times of emergency, when the prime minister is unable to take care of certain matters or when the country is facing an immediate threat from external factors, he or she may need to take action to protect the interests of his or her country and its citizens. He or she may also need to make declarations and recommendations to the world community on behalf of his or her country.

On occasion, the prime minister may hold the office of prime minister only temporarily. But in all cases, the prime minister does hold the office of prime minister.

Role of the Prime Minister

The duty of the prime minister is basically the office of the government to perform and fulfill the functions that are assigned by the government to it. It is a very powerful office as it is directly responsible to the people and their welfare. There are many responsibilities associated with the office of prime minister.

The prime minister is the official or de facto head of state or executive in the constitutional type of country and president is simply a mere ceremonial head or nominal authority of the government. It is the duty of the prime minister to oversee the policies of the state, maintain peace, maintain order and ensure smooth running of the government. He is expected to lead and guide his government to complete a specific task or mission assigned by the king.

There are different ministries that are under the authority of prime ministers of different countries and it is their duty to keep track of all their duties and responsibilities related to the government. These include prime ministers of India, UK, China, Indonesia, Singapore, Poland, Pakistan, Spain, France, Italy, Argentina, and Brazil.

The duty of the prime minister is also to ensure smooth functioning of the government policies, conduct negotiations with other governments and institutions and coordinate with other leaders on the national and international levels. In terms of external affairs, he is expected to ensure peace and security in other countries and promote the unity and stability of the country as well. He is also expected to ensure that the country's trade is balanced so that there will be steady growth and development of economy in the country.

There are many other duties of prime ministers but these are only few of the different responsibilities of this office. These duties are performed and responsibilities are to be fulfilled by the prime minister on behalf of his government. These are not administrative tasks. These responsibilities include decisions that should be made by the prime minister.

A prime minister is required to make decisions according to the policy that has been set out by the government. It is not always the prime minister who decides the policy but it is the prime minister who takes the final decision after discussing with his party and the party leaderships.

Another responsibility involves the appointment of ministers and the cabinet. The cabinet consists of ministers who are responsible for different departments and ministries of the government. The prime minister appoints cabinet members who are responsible for running the various departments of the government. They are also responsible for the formulation of government policy and the implementation of it through the ministries that they oversee. They are also responsible for ensuring that the policies set forth by the prime minister are implemented.

In the United States of America, the role of the prime minister is more ceremonial rather than executive. As mentioned earlier, it is the duty of the prime minister to oversee the policies and work on behalf of the government in a consultative and advisory capacity.
